QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA in communications, marketing, business, or related field plus 10 years’ experience in a communications or agency setting or MS/MA/MBA/JD preferred. Demonstrated strategic thinker who can create and execute a strategic communication plan. Nonprofit experience with demonstrable progression of advancement and proven success in volunteer and organizational change management Demonstrated ability to lead strategic communications, media relations, and marketing programs The ability to convey complex ideas and key messages to diverse audiences in both written and verbal form The ability to craft compelling narratives that connect with audiences on an emotional level Ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with a variety of individuals including donors, prospective donors, volunteers, and staff Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining focus on long-term strategy Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, including the ability to translate complex topics for a lay audience Professional proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word is required. Web browsing proficiency is also required. Familiarity with virtual meeting software applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams or similar is required
