Position Overview

The Life Time Foundation Athlete Relations and Events Coordinator is a dynamic role that supports the Foundation's mission of inspiring healthy people, on a healthy planet, to pursue a healthy way of life. This position involves managing relationships with athlete ambassadors, planning and executing fundraising events, coordinating with charity partners, and overseeing in-club fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about health and wellness, has strong organizational skills, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Life Time Foundation Summary

The Life Time Foundation was established to inspire Healthy People, a Healthy Planet and a Healthy Way of Life. Beginning in , the Life Time Foundation prioritized the ‘Healthy People’ aspect of its mission by supporting children’s health through youth nutrition and youth movement programs.

With an eye toward the ‘Healthy Planet’ element of its mission, the Life Time Foundation now is expanding focus on forestation and conservation efforts to help combat climate change driven by fast-rising amounts of carbon dioxide (CO₂) in the atmosphere.

Job Overview

This combined role will work closely with both the Development and Program departments, as well as the Marketing team (for the Event Coordinator aspects) to implement a variety of initiatives related to fundraising, athlete support, and youth movement programs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Life Time Foundation Athlete Fundraising

  • Manage and Grow the Foundation Athlete Program: Plan and execute the Foundation’s presence at athletic events owned and operated by Life Time, Inc.
  • Build and Manage Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with Foundation charity athletes throughout the year and at events.
  • Fundraising Support: Guide and support athletes through their fundraising journeys.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Plan and execute community-focused race weekend events for athletes and stakeholders.
  • Utilize Online Platforms: Use online fundraising and communication platforms effectively.
  • Event Attendance: Attend 4-6 Life Time Athletic Events per year.
  • Internal Agency Projects: Collaborate with the Life Time Foundation’s Marketing Specialist to manage internal agency projects for the Athlete Program and Event Activations, including creative development and delivery.
  • Experiential Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with the Life Time Foundation’s Marketing Specialist on experiential marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, drive donations, and support partnerships. Additionally, collaborate with the Sr. Program Manager on youth movement initiatives at major races.
  • Social Media Management: Assist with managing social media channels related to the Athlete Program and Event Activations.

Life Time, Inc. Charity Program Management

  • Develop and Maintain Relationships: Build and sustain strong relationships with charity partners to ensure mutual goals are met.
  • Coordinate Race Entries: Manage the allocation and distribution of race entries to charity partners.
  • Event Planning and Support: Assist charity partners in planning and executing their participation in events.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for charity partners, providing timely updates and support.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Track and report on the performance and impact of charity partners’ participation in events.
  • Compliance and Guidelines: Ensure all charity partners adhere to event guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to promote charity partners and their involvement in events.

Life Time Foundation In-Club Fundraising Event Coordination

  • Event Coordination: Assist in designing, planning, and executing in-club fundraising events in collaboration with Life Time Club locations and the Life Time Foundation’s Business Development Manager, ensuring alignment with the Foundation’s mission.
  • Marketing and Communication: Assist in promoting events through various channels and communicate with attendees and registrants.
  • Fundraising Support: Help manage event budgets and finances, coordinating with the Life Time Foundation on donation processing.
  • Community Engagement: In partnership with local Life Time Club Identify local organizations to benefit from events and foster community relationships to boost participation.

Stewardship

  • Develop meaningful donor relationships through ongoing recognition initiatives.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift equipment over 25 lbs.
  • Travel: Ability to travel for athletic events (4-8 weekends/year)

Education:

  • Two Year College Degree in related field
