Title I/MTSS Interventionist

General Statement of Job:

Performs a variety of administrative tasks in coordinating the successful implementation of academic and social-emotional interventions for students at risk of not meeting grade level or end-of-course standards. This Interventionist will assist teachers with developing strategies and techniques for assessing and supporting deficiencies. The Interventionist will monitor and assist regular classroom and EC teachers following the Multi-Tiered system framework of support.

The Interventionist will also assist teachers with instructional material selection and will provide teachers with tools and materials to aid instruction. The Interventionist will be essential in improving the effectiveness of interventions in the school and developing strategies for improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Assist teachers with improving techniques for core instruction and improving overall student achievement; provides instructional strategies and various tools to aid the instructional and intervention process Organize, coordinate, and co-facilitate the work of the MTSS Team Provide assistance in developing the infrastructures necessary for the implementation of MTSS. Appropriately uses and facilitates the use of program quality/fidelity data and outcome data at all levels of the system (district and building level analysis). Identify resources for interventions and progress monitoring. Assists with the acquisition of appropriate textbooks, guides, and other instructional materials and equipment. Assists schools in identifying appropriate re-teaching methods and strategies. Perform fidelity checks to ensure interventions are being implemented as planned. Support teachers in PLCs to understand the process and access the interventions and process monitoring tools in Title I schools. Keeps parents, students and staff informed about intervention processes in the school system Collect weekly intervention data Schedules and conducts MTSS Meetings. Serves as Process Manager of Indistar Ability to assess school-wide needs and direct Title I funding to support this area Organize, monitor, and manage required Title I documentation Assist with the organization of Title I events Participates in School Improvement

Qualifications

K-12 Education Certification Five to seven years of teaching experience including program coordination and delivery of professional development. Strong knowledge of the application of the MTSS framework. Secondary Experiences Ability to analyze assessment data Ability to communicate with clarity through written and oral means
