Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Academic Coach to join our team. As an Academic Coach, you will work one-on-one with students in grades 6-12 and college, providing personalized support to help them overcome challenges and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement customized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Provide guidance on time management, organization, and study skills to help students stay on top of their academic responsibilities
  • Help students build confidence and develop a growth mindset, enabling them to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals
  • Collaborate with parents and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and support
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in education and academic support, continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's or Graduate school student preferred
  • Experience working with students in grades 6-12 and college, preferably students with ADHD, anxiety, or other learning struggles
  • Candidates who are currently or working towards becoming Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Special Education teachers, or general education teachers are preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Flexibility to work at least 5 hours per week, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
