The Boeing Commercial Program Engineering team supports four L4 Value Streams within AMS: 777X, 787, 777, Legacy Programs, and Business Development.

These activities span the Engineering Product Development Lifecycle from Capture & Proposal through Operational Support. 

This role is for a Systems Integration Project Team Engineer – which is a Project Engineering role with Systems Integration responsibilities.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

May be eligible for relocation

Primary Responsibilities:

Work across the projects to drive a more disciplined approach of action item management and tracking of Engineering Change Requests & Change Orders in support of EACS Operations, external customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders. Work with teams to develop Level 3 schedules in MS Project and assess and manage critical path on programs. Set up and maintain a risk and opportunity management process for specific projects / programs. Own / support assigned project management tasks. This may include coordinating and supporting certification testing for various components and sub systems. Lead and support technical Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations Support reliability improvement and margin expansion projects across the value steam Track and report program budgets and resource plans as required. Prepare and participate in meetings at the working level as well as providing periodic reports/presentations to senior management and execute level leaders. Effectively employ Standard Work within the Collins Management System across specific projects/ programs Support Heat Exchanger repair and life extension strategies for Boeing programs.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in engineering, product development, operations, business development Project management with experience is preferred Proven experience with presenting to customer and leadership Experience with engineering change process
