Children’s Center of Wayne County (TCC) The Children’s Center, founded in 1929, provides evidence-based clinical therapy to children who deal with mental, behavioral, emotional, intellectual, and developmental health and educational challenges or may have experienced trauma.

School + Community-Based Partnerships: We partner with K-12 schools and community organizations that serve children to provide clinical therapy, counseling, psychological services, and psychiatric evaluations, treatment & interventions.

Child Welfare: In addition to the clinical therapy programs offered, The Children’s Center places children in licensed foster homes, and supports them throughout their time in the child welfare system. 

Child Well-being + Family Success: We operate an onsite family success center that promotes child-wellbeing and offers children and youth from all walks of life to access relevant mental health crisis prevention and child abuse and neglect prevention services.

Advocacy: We champion child and youth well-being for those experiencing poverty-related issues, those within the child welfare system, and those in need of evidence-based, clinical therapy.

Job Summary

The Commercial Insurance and Data Entry Specialist III ensures commercial funder provider enrollment is completed for all staff. This role will also submit updated rosters to all commercial funders as required by funders. This role ensures all data collected for psychological testing is verified and entered into EHR timely. This role will ensure all third-party insurance is always verified and updated in MISTICC. This role will also assist other RCM staff with client collections.

Job Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent. Some college coursework preferred.1-year previous data entry experience.1 year experience with electronic health records.A minimum of 1 years’ experience in posting client payments.Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage time.1-year experience in commercial insurance enrollmentMust possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to demonstrate it with a diverse population.

Essential Functions

Verify commercial insurance daily as needed by programs.Manage commercial psychological testing verification and collection process.Update client demographic information in our EHR and verify client demographics.Apply for commercial funder enrollment as new eligible staff start with TCC.Ensure all follow up by staff is complete as related to the enrollment process for third party funders.Complete all Commercial funder rosters as required by plans. Process client collections daily.Process DWIHN psychological testing authorizations.Develop performance goals and expectations with immediate supervisor annually.
