JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Lunch Monitor

JOB GOAL: The lunch monitor will support students in the school during lunch. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with children Flexible with duties and responsibilities. Ability to shift gears as needed. 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist children in moving through the lunch line to ensure students are able to get lunch.  Assist children as needed with opening food and drink containers.  Monitor cafeteria during lunch to ensure that students are eating lunch and behaving according the the school rules. Wipe down tables at the end of each lunch group. Speak in a calm, professional manner to students and other staff members. No yelling at students.  Work collaboratively with the building administration, teachers and custodians to ensure that the lunch periods run smoothly.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Days. 2-3 hours per day, depending on the school. 

REPORTS TO: Building Principals and Assistant Principals

Pay rate: $16.50 per hour
