Responsibilities

:Under the supervision of Data Visualization designer:  Attend communications team meetings and design team meetings when available. Research potential data visualization sources and identify potential data visualization stories.  Learn how to use visuals to tell a story through data. Review collected data and find data sources when needed.  Qualifications:   Enrolled in an undergraduate program during spring 2025. Preference will be given to those studying Communications, Statistics, Graphic Design, or related fields. Commitment of 12-15 hours/week. Interest in using data to tell compelling stories. An eye for compelling infographics and data visualization projects is helpful. Knowledge of spreadsheet editors and software is a plus. Possess a strong interest in environmental and/or social justice issues, a plus. Awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and orientations.  Compensation:  Internships at Earthjustice are paid. Undergraduate students will receive $18.67/hour, less applicable taxes.
