ECS is seeking a Manager, Costpoint Development to work in our Fairfax, VA office.

Job Description:
ECS has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Costpoint Development, to continuously improve our use of Costpoint ERP, our integrations with other systems, and related business processes. This position will report directly to the Director, Corp Development and Financial Systems. This person will partner with both back-office and operations stakeholders to identify needs, develop lean solutions, and implement these solutions to streamline business processes. This is a newly created opportunity to make an impact within the ECS organization.

Costpoint experience is essential to the candidate’s ability to provide functional and technical input to design, development, deployment, and production operational support of Costpoint including extensions and integrations. The ideal candidate should be familiar with back-end tables, the Costpoint development toolset, and the front-end application. ECS management team constantly strives to work smarter and not harder; this role will excel by identifying areas of improvement, developing solutions that align with stakeholder needs, and effective testing, training, and support.

The Manager, Costpoint Development, will have strong communication skills, experience resolving issues at a variety of organizational levels, familiarity with ERP and automation systems, an inquisitive mindset for data and analysis, and be a good fit for the collaborative, get-it-done culture that is fundamental to ECS. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a consultative mindset.

Responsibilities:
• Working collaboration with various/month end/quarter end close activities to ensure they are optimized and aligned with best practices.
• Hands-on involvement in managing and maintaining key Costpoint design areas including but not limited to: Pool Design, Organizational break-down, Acct/Org Links, Costpoint Module Configuration/Settings changes
• Responsible for analyzing and recommending design changes in Costpoint stemming from changes in the way ECS organizes or does business
• Partnering with Accounting, Finance, and Contracts to update Costpoint configuration to meet their business objectives
• Share and explain Costpoint functionality and best practices via knowledge base articles, training documentation, and user training sessions
• Establish productive relationships within the Accounting, Operations, Contract teams to ensure all related activity is accurately recorded and high industry standards are maintained. 
• Maintain and strengthen internal control framework, and actively work to ensure that controls are operating effectively.
• Elicit business requirements, design, and develop system integrations, extensions to support evolving finance business processes.
• Take lead role in large improvement efforts, from requirements through development and go-live, leveraging cross-functional team members to achieve project goals
• Establish and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Encourage and implement operational improvement opportunities leveraging automation (e.g reduction in manual data entry, self-service model, decrease time to close, etc..) and continue to re-evaluate areas where automation and efficiencies can be introduced in Costpoint.
• Take a leading role in various aspects of ad hoc projects, primarily with the goal of improving the efficiency and accuracy of various accounting or related processes.

Required Skills:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant progressive experience, with focus on Costpoint and other Deltek Products (T&E, Cognos).
• 3+ years experience using Costpoint development tools (including Web Integration, Extensibility and Eclipse Java IDE tools), SQL analytical skills and Java to deliver business solutions
• Strong expertise in the Projects module but good knowledge of the other modules.
• Experience maintaining, testing, and improving the internal control environment.
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience creating workflows (either within Costpoint, Power Automate, Flow, SharePoint, Integrify, Appian, UI Path, low-code platforms, etc.) is desired.
• Proficient with Excel (including experience with pivot tables)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and processes across organizational lines to successful completion
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well on a team and an independently.
• Prior experience with Government Contracting, non-profit, or other highly regulated industry

Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of ADP HRIS/Payroll web services
• Knowledge of User Interface standards for web and application development
• Experience operating in SOX controlled environment
• Costpoint technical certifications
