IT Technician As an IT Technician you will be responsible for performing IT support functions required to ensure the proper functioning of the computer systems at the facility. You will work closely with the local facility team as well as the Corporate IT function.


Essential Functions & Requirements:

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains computer and network hardware and software according to established specifications
  • Provides Level 2 support to local facility team users for computers, printers, scanners, and network systems
  • Provides Level 1 and Level 3 support for local systems such as paging and security
  • Partners with approved vendors and Corporate Procurement to obtain necessary services and equipment
  • Responds to and resolves issues that are escalated from the Level 1 Helpdesk Support team
  • Leads projects and coordinates project activities with Operations and Corporate IT functions
  • Maintains availability for (infrequent) after-hours support calls as needed
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education:

  • High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Associate's / Bachelor's degree with a focus in information technology, computer science or related field (preferred)

Experience:

  • 5+ years of related experience supporting computer systems and networks using Windows/Linux OS, Cisco and HP hardware (required)
  • Previous experience providing support in a manufacturing facility environment (preferred)

Competencies:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines with shifting priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to incorporate sound judgment into decision-making
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to support employees across the facility
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
