Job Summary
The Department of English at the University of North Georgia is currently searching for a full-time faculty member to teach first-year composition courses and secondary English education courses for majors. A requirement for the pedagogy course is observing student teachers at area schools. This position starts at the Assistant Professor level and is tenure track.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching English courses as assigned. Teaching assignments will be primarily in first-year composition courses and upper-level education courses for English Teacher Certification students. A requirement for the pedagogy course is observing student teachers at area schools. This position, in the Department of English, also liaises with Education faculty.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. required. Candidates will hold a degree in English, Comparative Literature, Rhetoric & Composition, or other equivalent discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Secondary school and college teaching experience is preferred.
