Overview:
The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is seeking a dedicated full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor to join the Department of Periodontology. This role is integral to our mission of enhancing oral health through superior education, innovative research, and exemplary patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Establishing a robust research program in periodontology.
- Delivering high-quality didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical instruction at both pre-doctoral and graduate levels.
- Engaging in faculty practice within the institution.
This position emphasizes the development of an independent yet collaborative research agenda, with academic rank determined by the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- DDS, DMD, or an equivalent degree.
- Completion of advanced training in Periodontology from a CODA-accredited postgraduate program.
- Eligibility for board certification or current board certification.
- Demonstrated scholarly productivity, including peer-reviewed publications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous or current extramural funding for research initiatives.
- Experience in teaching both predoctoral and advanced education in periodontology.
