Location: Montgomery College, Takoma Park, MD

Salary: $19.00 to $23.00

- Certification in food safety from montgomery county department of health recognized organization.
- Ability to multi task on varies projects at a time.
- Organizational skills to maintain an orderly and clean kitchen space.

- Ability to receive daily guidance from superiors without prejudice.
- Knowledgeable of cutting techniques, and or open to learning.
- Demonstrates a professional demeanor at all times
- Flexible to work rotating schedule as needed.
- Flexible to commute to all campuses on demand and as needed.
- Comprehension skills when reading recipes and instructions.
- Hand-eye coordination when using kitchen tools and cooking utensils.
- Checking the ingredients to make sure they’re fresh and safe for consumption.
- Make sure to label and date everything as soon as you open it or store it away.
- Knowledgeable of how to use a three compartment sink and dishwasher. Willingness to assist with
dishes as needed.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Willingness to learn new things and be open to constructive criticism.
- Comfortable dealing with conflict resolution and ability to settle matters calmly.
- Attends functions for plate up, carving stations, serving, running food, sauté station, etc.
- Position involves weekdays and weekend as needed per scheduled events.


Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have an opening for Rock Star Catering Chef who shares our passion for Food and Service and Leadership. We are seeking a Culinary Leader, with a mentoring management style creating a culture of fun, creativity and growth.

Our catering events range from small casual business lunches to amazing and extravagant black-tie events. Our Catering Chef will oversee the Operations and Staff Management with responsibilities to include culinary oversite, employee training development, inventory and cost. Must be able to read, write, use simple math, follow and give oral and written instructions.

If you have the Culinary Chops and passion for current, trending and diverse menus, and are ready to hit the ground running in a fast paced, high volume hospitality setting, we would like to hear from you Must have solid high volume, kitchen leadership experience in preferably a multi-outlet dining services setting and a background with strong Catering experience.

Requirements:

•3-5+Plus Years in a Supervisory role or Sous Chef

•Impeccable communication Skills

•Thorough knowledge of Menu implementation with STUNNING presentation ideas

•Strong Catering Experience from casual to fine dining

•Wedding and Special Event experience

•Culinary Degree strongly preferred
