A Day in the Life as an HR Generalist: A typical day will be going on-site to one of your work locations and partnering with the local leadership and employees. It could be anything from conducting training, to helping coach a manager with an employee relations concern or investigating a performance issue. There will be project work as well as field HR support to multiple locations while keeping the Director of People Operations apprised of what's happening in the region.


Qualifications to be an HR Generalist:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Human Resources department
  • Ability to work independently and with sound judgement
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working in remote field locations
  • Experience being involved in HR project management initiatives
  • Experience with change management and building a high performance team
  • Comfortable communicating/working with all levels of employees and management
  • Deadline driven with exceptional organization skills
  • Proactively initiate ideas, projects, and communication throughout organization
  • Excellent presentation abilities
  • Familiarity with digital platforms
  • Hands-on experience with metric analytics tools
  • Ability to articulate direction and plans across all functional levels
  • Ability to define processes and procedures as well as initiate tasks related to job requirements
  • Maintains the highest level of integrity and confidentiality regarding company information
