Responsibilities

The Household Hazardous Waste Program Manager (HHW PM) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of HHW Program Supervisors, with an emphasis on strategic planning, program implementation, and effective delegation. As the primary liaison between HHW customers and ACTenviro (ACT), the HHW PM ensures efficient communication and collaboration. The HHW PM holds ultimate accountability for the success of the HHW programs, ensuring that ACT meets and exceeds its contractual obligations for each account. Additionally, the HHW PM serves as the primary operations contact in support of the Strategic Account Manager.

Ensure that health and safety remain the top priority by adhering to established policies and procedures, and consistently demonstrating safe practices in all actionsSupport HHW Supervisors in resolving job related issues such as billing, collections, customer issues and post-event follow-upCoordinate all aspects of HHW collection eventsMeet with customers to proactively resolve customer issues or complaintsMaintain satisfactory customer relationshipEnsure all work orders are complete for billing initiation to meet billing goalsServe as a liaison between the sales and operations teams, facilitating effective communication and ensuring alignment between the terms of budget and the execution of the projectDevelop strategies to maximize pricing and profitabilityEnsure work order information are met with resources by clearly communicating job needs to the Logistics CoordinatorOversee all functions and responsibilities of HHW SupervisorsAttend all necessary meetings/virtual calls that may pertain to ACT’s execution of servicesSupport HHW Supervisors with interviews, hires, and onboarding as necessaryAttend all compliance and safety update meetingsFollow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rulesSafely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state and federal requirementsSafely observe all corporate operating guidelines and proceduresObserve all company environmental health and safety operating guidelinesAvailability to work weekends and extended hours as neededPerform other assignments as given by management

Daily Activities

Review, triage, and assign tasks required to satisfy contractual and program requirements with HHW Supervisors

Weekly Activities

Review and approve HHW Staff timesheetsHold Operational Meetings with HHW Supervisors and provide summary to GMAttend GM lead Operations Meeting Monthly ActivitiesEnsure all Work Orders are submitted for Laserfiche data entry for invoicing by month-end deadlineProvide monthly report to the GM on current status of each HHW account

Qualifications

Leadership experienceAbility to interface with customersAttention to detail, able to take and follow direction, and to perform multiple tasksFinancial management and/or logistics experienceWorking knowledge of environmental statutes and regulations, business development, revenue enhancement and market penetrationAbility to lift/push/pull 50 poundsAbility to pass a pre-employment background screen, physical exam, and drug screenValid Driver’s license

Skills and Experience

Must have working knowledge of hazardous waste disposal and treatment methodsProgram Management experience (preferred)Excellent interpersonal and communications skillsHealth and Safety consciousExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms such as Sugar or Salesforce.comA strong work ethic, a self-starter, manage multiple priorities and manage details

Education and Training

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceProven experience in program managementProven stakeholder management skills
