Excellent Roofing is NOW HIRING a Residential Sales Representative to manage a wide range of functions necessary to successfully obtain, bid, and price roofing projects. 

We are looking for a Residential Sales Representative that is an exceptional problem solver, who can think outside of the box like water and see the overall big picture.  Our preference is for a Residential Sales Representative who has extensive roofing installation and/or supervisory experience in both residential and commercial roofing applications, such as shingles, standing seam metal, single-ply, tile, wood shakes, and slate. The Residential Sales Representative will quote a broad range of requests, including minor and extensive roof repairs, complete roof replacements, insurance claims, and scopes of work covering all other ancillary services such as gutters, wood and siding replacement, painting, and sheetrock repairs. The Residential Sales Representative must be a great communicator who is patient, punctual, detailed, humorous, and a kind and caring person who is very knowledgeable about the roofing and construction industry.

COMPENSATION: Competitive commission based pay, earning up to $80K. Top earners make well over $150k per year.
 
This is a full-time, 1099 contract position with the ability to make your own scheduled. This position does not require no more than 40 hours per week. Travel is required and is primarily local. However, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
 
Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of previous roofing estimating and/or insurance adjusting experience is required
  • Strong understanding of roofing materials and installation techniques, as well as, insurance requirements for submitting roofing claims.
  • Professional appearance
  • Proven sales experience in roofing; retail and insurance preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and close deals.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for success.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to climb and inspect roofs independently on most.
  • Xactimate or Symbility experience is a Plus [but not a requirement].

Summary of Responsibilities: 
 
  • Conduct outside sales activities to identify, network and acquire new customers and leads.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within target accounts.
  • Run leads given, climb roofs, inspect roofs for potential storm damage, estimate projects, take photos, mark roofs for insurance-related damages, and close the sale.
  • Utilize company CRM software to track leads, opportunities and customer interactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sale process.
  • Communicate with customers, adjusters or property managers as needed to complete the roofing sale.
  • Follow up on estimate submittals to close the deal.
