Are you a seasoned IT professional with a passion for system integrity and network security? Join our LATG team as a Senior Network Administrator where you'll play a critical role in installing, maintaining, upgrading, and securing our systems.

What You'll Do: (This role is on-site work at Stennis Space Center located in MS. Remote/Hybrid not applicable.)

  • Provide: On-site and remote user support from the NRL offices located at the NASA Stennis Space Center campus.
  • Innovate and Secure: Develop and implement network, system, and user-level policies that align with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Risk Management Framework, ensuring compliance with DOD and USN guidelines.
  • Transform and Upgrade: Lead the migration from VMware to ProxMox, building and managing Proxmox servers and STIG new management servers., and creating resilient CEPH storage systems.
  • Monitor: Keep our networks healthy and running smoothly by conducting routine repairs, maintenance, resolving issues, and optimizing performance.
  • Maintain: Keep up to date logs using an agency provided ticket, project management, and change management systems.
  • Manage Core Services: Take charge of key services including Microsoft Active Directory, e-mail, ticket systems, web services/servers, file systems/shares, patch management, and system monitoring systems, mobile device management, in/out of band networks devices, multiple hypervisors, and related infrastructure systems.
  • Support and Assist: Provide expert on-site and remote support to system users, ensuring seamless operations and security compliance.
  • Create: POAMs in EMAS until findings are corrected and close POAMs.
  • Document and Accredit: Create and maintain documentation artifacts that supports system accreditations, policy architecture, and lifecycle management. (including but not limited to Visio architecture and data flow diagrams, standard operating procedure (SOP) documents, and tactics techniques and procedures (TTP) for common tasks.)
  • Strengthen Security: Configure, monitor and manage Cisco and HP network devices, support information assurance products, and ensure compliance with security protocols.

What we need you to bring:

Experience: At least 5 years of relevant IT experience.
Education: A BS in an IT-related field or an equivalent 4 years work experience.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR ROLE:
Required for the position is a Tier 5 TS/SCI with a current SECRET clearance. You will be working in a secure government facility in and on secure systems and to do so this requirement must be met to be considered for the role. *LATG will be verifying clearances.

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR ROLE:

  • Information Assurance: One or more of the following - CompTIA Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, CASP CE.
  • Networking: One or more of the following - Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE (Route and Switch, Security, Datacenter), F5-CA, Fortinet NSE.
