The Opportunity:

As a database administrator who specializes in Oracle Database Management systems and services, you know how to manage and secure database technology. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the database technology supporting Navy and DoD missions.
On our team, you’ll refine and maintain Oracles DB systems warehousing meteorological and oceanographic mission data, constantly look for ways to implement database tuning and performance optimization, perform backup and recovery, configure database parameters, and design prototypes against logical data models. You’ll provide your client with peace of mind as you implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You’ll use technology and tools like Oracle Spatial Engine, Xymon, Elastic Search, and automation scripting to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database.
In this role, you’ll closely impact Naval fleet operations by enabling real-time access to vital meteorological and oceanographic data to support safety in navigation, warfare operations, and undersea operations. With your technical expertise, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we’ll focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

You Have:
- 3+ years of experience with providing database administration support to enterprise Oracle Database Management Systems (DBMS)
- Experience with implementing or maintaining an Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC)
- Experience with applying and documenting STIGs to Oracle DBMS in support of cybersecurity accreditation and reporting
- Experience with Oracle Spatial Engine
- Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS)
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with Navy Meteorology and Oceanography data systems and services
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
