USA Firmware is seeking a talented and experienced PCB Engineer to join our clients team as a Permanent / Hybrid associate in Cincinnati, Ohio.
As a PCB Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of complex printed circuit boards for a wide range of embedded systems projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and mechanical engineers to define PCB design requirements.
- Create and modify PCB designs based on project requirements.
- Perform schematic capture and layout design using industry-standard PCB design tools.
- Ensure PCB designs meet industry standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers for the fabrication and assembly of PCBs.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during prototype builds and product testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any PCB-related issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of PCB designs and revisions.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in PCB design.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro).
- Strong knowledge of PCB layout guidelines and design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC considerations in PCB design.
- Ability to interpret datasheets and technical specifications.
- Experience working with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high-speed PCB design and signal integrity analysis.
- Knowledge of embedded systems development.
- Experience with FPGA and microcontroller-based designs.
- Understanding of design for testability (DFT) principles.
