Adjunct Instructor, Early Childhood Education

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time, semester-to-semester, non-benefited MCCC/MTA/DCE unit positions. This posting is for a candidate pool for anticipated vacancies for the 2024-2025 school year.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Teaches a standard range of courses expected in the first two years of a degree program in the field.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (including but not limited to):
Conducts on campus day and evening classes. Prepares for instruction. Assesses student performance. Provides student assistance by appointment. Engages in professional development and required trainings. Attends a limited number of faculty meetings.
Requirements:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful community college teaching experience. Two years teaching experience in Early Childhood Education. Commitment to fostering inclusiveness, equity and diversity within the academic setting. Teaching experience with Early College students or at the High School level. Commitment to the mission of the community college. Experience building and facilitating asynchronous or hybrid courses using a standard learning management system.EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT:
