Position Overview

Role Summary:

We are in search of a passionate and skilled Lead Educator for our early childhood education center. The Lead Educator will be tasked with crafting and executing a curriculum that is developmentally suitable, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and fostering a nurturing and engaging atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to early childhood education and a dedication to enhancing the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a thorough and captivating curriculum that nurtures the learning and development of each child.
  • Establish a secure and welcoming environment where children can explore, learn, and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities and lessons that ignite children's curiosity and support their learning journey.
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and evaluate children's progress, documenting their achievements, and providing regular feedback to parents.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom that adheres to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to foster a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay informed on best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or equivalent experience (60 college credits with 30 hours in ECE), and Lead Teacher Qualified by EEC.
  • Prior experience in a childcare setting, preferably in a Lead Teacher role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of child development theories and practices.
  • Strong grasp of early childhood curriculum planning and execution.
  • Ability to cultivate a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Patience, compassion, and empathy for young children and their diverse needs.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Familiarity with state licensing regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.
