Your day to day as a Systems Architect - Expert Level

As an Expert Systems Architect at Mission Intelligence Group in Springfield, VA, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing solutions for complex application problems. You will work closely with the Government to lead system architects in creating and maintaining solution architectures that align with enterprise requirements and strategic goals. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing user requirements, automating existing systems, and improving workflows. Additionally, you will provide valuable insights to the Government on potential changes to solution architecture design based on requirements and new technologies. In this position, you will also oversee and coordinate the efforts of Senior, Mid, and Junior level System Architect contractors, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Strong leadership capabilities are necessary to oversee and coordinate the work of contractors across different levels of expertise. Adaptability and a passion for keeping up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the IT industry are also valuable traits for success in this dynamic role.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent Expert level work experience as a System Architect.
  • Expert working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), or IC Program Architecture Guidance (PAG).
  • Expert working experience, knowledge, and understanding of satellites, GEOINT, Hyperspectral Imagery (HSI), LiDAR, Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI) data integration, GCCS-M, Remote Sensing capability, MEDAL, Quellfire, UVDS, FSG SIPR Cloud, USAF DCGS, and USN DCGS.
  • Expert working experience in creating wiring diagrams illustrating data flow between various Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) entities.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, IC and NGA cloud computing environments (C2S).
  • Working understanding of data flow between cloud computing environments, and have knowledge of various security domains (SIPR, JWICS).
  • Working experience in capturing high-level plan risk, critical paths, and depicting a project using Gantt charts.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Federated Enterprise Architect Certifications: Certified Enterprise Architect.
  • National Defense University, College of Information and Cyberspace, Enterprise Architecture Certification.
