Job Summary:


The licensed insurance producer is responsible for identifying potential clients, assessing their insurance needs, recommending appropriate insurance products, and managing client relationships. This role requires a thorough understanding of various types of insurance, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Acquisition:

    • Identify and prospect potential clients through networking, referrals, and marketing strategies.
    • Schedule appointments and meet with clients to discuss their insurance needs.
  2. Needs Assessment:

    • Evaluate clients' current insurance coverage and financial situation.
    • Conduct risk assessments to determine the appropriate level of coverage required.
  3. Policy Recommendation:

    • Recommend suitable insurance products, including life, health, auto, home, and business insurance.
    • Explain policy features, benefits, and exclusions to clients.
  4. Sales and Policy Management:

    • Prepare and present insurance quotes to clients.
    • Complete insurance applications and submit them to insurance carriers.
    • Follow up with underwriters and other insurance professionals to ensure timely policy issuance.
    • Manage and renew existing policies, ensuring clients maintain adequate coverage.
  5. Customer Service:

    • Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
    • Assist clients with claims processing and ensure they receive fair and prompt settlements.
    • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and transactions.
  6. Compliance and Continuing Education:

    • Stay updated with industry regulations, insurance products, and market trends.
    • Maintain a valid insurance license and complete required continuing education courses.
Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Licensing:

    • Valid state insurance producer license required.
    • Additional certifications (e.g., Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)) are a plus.
  • Experience:

    • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or the insurance industry preferred.
  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency with insurance software and CRM systems.

Working Conditions:

  • Typically, work is conducted in an office environment, but travel to meet clients may be required.
