Summary:
The Customer Service Associate (CSA) is primarily responsible for managing the relationship between the carrier, customer, and sales groups for assigned accounts. The CSA will work closely with the Sales team to ensure the highest level of customer service. This role involves floating/fill-in responsibilities across different shifts/schedules, including nights, early mornings, and some weekend coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact between the client's Supply Chain and assigned external customers.
  • Analyze incoming emails and determine prompt resolutions.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key internal contacts.
  • Utilize various dispatch systems (TES, LME, FOUR KITES, OTR) and external scheduling systems (RETAILIX, RETAIL LINK, UNFI, ONE NETWORK, etc.) to problem-solve for all business units.
  • Maintain knowledge of internal client policies, procedures, and software applications.
  • Maintain knowledge of external customers' organizational structure, procedures, and other pertinent information.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to best service the needs of the client and the customer.
  • Resolve issues impacting the delivery process to positively represent the client and ensure accurate delivery of products to external customers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in transportation or logistics.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in transportation or logistics, specifically in customer service-related roles.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office applications; must handle a high volume of emails (up to 300+ per day).
  • Communication Skills: Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills; conflict management, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Other Skills: Positive attitude, punctuality, dependability, and ability to work independently.
  • Travel: None required.
  • Supervisory: Not applicable.

Additional Information:

  • Main Duties: Answer emails, confirm deliveries, and track on-time delivery. (Involved in dispatch processes, excluding actual truck dispatching.)
  • Experience: Prefer candidates with titles such as Dispatcher, Transportation Associate, or Operations Associate.
  • Soft Skills: Multi-tasking ability, timeliness, and dependability are essential.
  • Interview Process: In-person, one round.
  • Timeframe: Interviews to be scheduled ASAP.
