PAID SALES INTERN OPPORTUNITY

ATTENTION: STUDENTS/RECENT GRADS/EARLY CAREER

COPPER AND BRASS SALES DIVISION

START DATE: MAY 2024

Duration: 6 months

Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time (25 hours minimum)

Location: Onsite Hoffman Estates, IL (Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm)

At tkMNA, we provide a foundation to foster and support a safe, professional, and fulfilling experience. This internship is designed to provide on-the-job training and experience for college students. Our interns engage in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity to enable them to gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform at a professional level. Our interns provide support to professional employees working in an organizational function related to the intern's area of study.

Key Accountabilities:

Learn organizational processes involving Salesforce, SAP, ADP and Microsoft Office. Prepare material quotes. Evaluate customer owned inventory and process requests. Assist in qualifying and updating outside vendors. Engage customers for additional value add opportunities. Collaborate with staff for improving processes. Meets thyssenkrupp Materials NA Employee Attributes / Competencies.

Intern Project Description:

Update vendor list for capabilities and contact information. Improve margins on underperforming accounts (list of accounts provided and monitored). Outbound Calls Order Review - Customer Notes Purchase Agreement (Mills) Credit Entry/Credit Investigation

Your profile


Minimum Requirements:

Currently enrolled (Junior/Senior) or recently graduated (within 1-year) from an accredited university or college. Must live or reside within commuting distance to the Dayton, OH office location. Project planning skills. Entry-level knowledge and skill within specified area of professional specialty. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Applicants should be competitive, assertive, and self-motivated. Must have the ability to think critically, multi-task, and keep up in a fast-paced environment is critical.
