This position is responsible to oversee the daily production operations of the plant to ensure that plant safety, quality, and production goals are met. Fosters a well-trained and motivated staff. Develops production schedules to meet internal goals as well as expectations of customers. Oversees production staff, including hiring, training, and developing crew members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and proceduresReview production schedules and coordinate work assignments with supervisors and crew chiefsConfer with department heads to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, and shippingAssist crew members with troubleshooting and resolving issuesEnsure that all housekeeping, safety, and quality policies and procedures are followedMonitor and manage the perishables expenses for the crewFacilitate team building between crews and shiftsEnsure that each crew has a sufficient number of crew members to meet production requirementsSelect, mentor, coach, and train crew chiefs and supervisors to maximize crew satisfaction, efficiency, and effectivenessMentor, coach, and motivate crew membersConduct performance review conferences, including disciplinary conferences, with crew membersTrack movement of parts through areaCommunicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contactsModel desired traitsAccept and adapt easily to changeOperate job-related equipment with or without an accommodationMeet physical demands of job with or without an accommodationRequirements:
