Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting operating systems and software.
  • Develop and review architectures, component functional allocation and flows, interfaces, system processing and performance for AN/SPA systems.
  • Develop descriptions and data flows of proposed systems and perform requirement analysis.
  • Develop radar distribution towards a fully realized digital software-based version where all functions can be hosted in a compute-virtualized and containerized environment.
  • Assist with the network development within a radar distribution system to increase capabilities and to maintain cybersecurity requirements besides validation.
  • Develop Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software-based radar display video capabilities towards a virtualized and containerized solution.
  • Experience in the development of Naval combat systems, including definition, functional allocation, design development, testing, integration, and operational deployment.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical/electronics engineering, computer/software engineering, computer science, math, physics, or related scientific discipline.
  • Ten (10) + years of professional experience in C, C++, C#, Python, Visual Basic and/or other object-oriented languages.
  • Demonstrate software development using one or more of these languages under the Unix, Windows, Linux, and/or MS-DOS operating systems.
  • Algorithm development experience with software development skills, a background in coding and analyzing algorithms, experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
