About the Role:

As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at Corcentric, you will become part of a dynamic and collaborative team within a forward-thinking global enterprise.

Your primary responsibility will be to guide our skilled team of software developers in the architecture, creation, and deployment of distributed systems utilizing .NET Core, Python, and AWS technologies.

We are in search of a technically proficient, hands-on leader who will shape technical direction, oversee software development methodologies, and cultivate a culture of teamwork and innovation within the engineering department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a group of software developers, offering direction, assistance, and technical knowledge to guarantee the successful completion of projects.
  • Drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for the development of distributed systems leveraging .NET Core, Python, and AWS technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and operations, to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Oversee the complete software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment, ensuring compliance with best practices, coding standards, and security protocols.
  • Initiate continuous improvement efforts to enhance development processes, boost efficiency, and improve software quality.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and integrate them into the development process as appropriate.
  • Provide leadership and support in addressing technical challenges, mitigating risks, and overcoming obstacles to project success.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation, collaboration, and learning within the engineering team, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior software development management position, with a proven history of successfully leading teams in the design, development, and delivery of complex distributed systems.
  • Extensive experience in building distributed systems using .NET Core and AWS technologies, including but not limited to AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, etc.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in developing and deploying Python-based applications in production settings.
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) concepts, with practical experience in implementing AI/ML solutions in real-world applications.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members to reach their full potential.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive technical initiatives, make strategic decisions, and solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer).
