Summary:  The Lead is the expert in that area, the most knowledgeable in all the processes to produce customer orders to the highest quality standards. The Paint Lead will coordinate the racking of fasteners and be the backup for the following positions: Painter/paint mixer/PSC Operator/Racking Machine Operator by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Coordination of parts for racking in both manual and automated racking departments. Assist the Supervisor to direct labor production to achieve daily output goals while ensuring quality, efficiency and complying with safety rules Schedule paint tickets. Pull needed inventory from stock needed for job completion. Operate stand up tow motor and wave to pull/move inventory. Coordinate racking production with manual and PSC paint areas. Rack fasteners when needed. Back-up manual painter, PSC operators and Racking Machine operators when needed.Operate PSC machine equipped with compressed air spray nozzles that coat products or materials with paint, bakes product, and dumps product into bagsRead work order and accurately package product to match order specifications (including parts, color, box type, label type).Matches paint for each order by using formulas and visual matching with color chipsSprays fasteners with spray gunManual operation of ovenPerform daily cleanup and maintenance. Enforce company policies relating to job performance, company values, policies, safety and 5S. Support initiatives for continuous improvement. Seek to understand challenges and opportunities in manufacturing operations.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills
