Job Summary:
The Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) Coordinator oversees the daily administrative tasks of LIC programs at various sites such as UCHealth (UCH), Kaiser (KP), Veterans Affairs (VA), Denver Health (DH), Children’s Hospital of Colorado (CHCO), as well as sites in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins affiliated with the branch campus. Responsibilities include managing LIC activities like student and faculty scheduling, ensuring timely evaluations and assessments, coordinating with administrative staff at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and within specialty departments at LIC clinical sites, providing clerical support to the LIC director and department liaisons, and addressing students’ questions, scheduling conflicts, and other needs by referring them to the appropriate person.
This position is responsible for the Veterans Affairs LIC.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to successfully manage multiple self-directed projects, which may, at times, have competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complex student and faculty scheduling for clinical experiences requiring monthly coordination and distribution of schedules. Monitor and provide continuous updates and communication with faculty and students as conflicts and changes arise. Assist LIC director(s) and other faculty in planning the year-long schedule of students’ ambulatory clinical placements, inpatient experiences, on-call experiences, didactics, and assessments. Coordinate didactic schedules, including speakers' scheduling, programming logistics, collection, and compilation of student evaluations. Serve as a point of contact for common classroom, meeting, and lecture spaces on the Anschutz Medical Campus in order to secure space for curriculum events. Track student progression, requirements, assessments, and grades. Manage the LIC Canvas website, including updating course materials and arranging online quizzes and exams. Oversee edits and maintenance of VA LIC website curriculum content ensuring that published changes are cohesive, clear, and consistent. Act as a point of contact for student and faculty in badging, credentialing, and site agreements. Identifies problems, develops solutions for the problems and presents the problems and solutions to Course Director. Provide clerical support to the LIC director(s) and department liaisons and manage other duties and projects as assigned and as required throughout the academic year.Work Location:
This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. On campus, work location will be at the Veterans Affairs LIC in Aurora, CO.
