Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-time Operations Assistant to join our team for a six-month temporary assignment. The ideal candidate will assist in managing various administrative tasks and offers a unique opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organization at the forefront of promoting diversity and inclusion in the tech startup ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Maintain excel spreadsheets based on guidance from team; generate and compile monthly and quarterly reports for internal and external stakeholders. Help maintain internal databases (we use Airtable and Notion), shared documents, and external databases such as Crunchbase and CB Insights. Monitor company inbox and ensure all inquiries are addressed by relevant team members. Assist with formatting one-pagers and PPT templates and updating website content. Support event planning activities such as tracking RSVPs, coordinating catering, reserving venue and other resources, and providing in-person event support if required. Provide other administrative support as needed, which may include scheduling meetings, processing invoices, requesting information on behalf of the team, consolidating event survey responses, sending information to stakeholders, etc.

Qualifications:

College degree is not mandatory, but candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of success in similar role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively and with little oversight. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with database management tools (knowledge of Airtable and Notion a plus). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Passion for creating equitable access and opportunity for all, with a particular interest in promoting diversity within the startup ecosystem.
