Job Title: Assistant Fire Crew Supervisor
Job Description:
The Assistant Crew Supervisor on the Dromedary Peak Type 2IA hand crew will help manage aspects of a complex fire resource program by developing and integrating numerous employees to form a group or groups of independent resources; while ensuring proper delivery of all assigned resource(s) services through oversight, guidance, and fiscal accountability; will fulfill agency and inter-agency requirements for the establishment and delivery of wildland firefighting resource services; serves in a key fire management position that requires extensive experience in wildland fire suppression and personnel management; serves as an agency representative to interface with local, regional, and national dispatch centers, agency and inter-agency partners, and the public; directly impacts the annual delivery of products and services derived from agency strategic planning, in addition, will help develop, oversee and manage all aspects of the Dromedary Peak program.
Principal Duties:
Extensive experience as a firefighter and leader in wildland firefighting, with an emphasis on Initial Attack operations. Advanced knowledge of fire suppression strategies and tactics, fireline leadership, and organizational program management. NWCG Qualified Crew Boss (CRWB) & Incident Commander Type 5 (ICT5) Team player able to contribute to the Lone Peak Conservation Center's sustainability. Why You Should Join Our Team:

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Qualified Faller 2 (FAL2). Qualified Firing Boss (FIRB) or trainee. Qualified Incident Commander Type 4 (ICT4) or trainee.
Supplemental Information
Must be able to pass the work capcity test at the ardous level. Duties include demands for strenuous activities in emergencies under adverse environmental conditions, over extended periods of time. Fire and land management projects may require camping out and preparing own food. Must be available to be on call, travel extensively and endure primitive camping conditions. Requires field work in inclement weather and rough terrain; work requires physical exertion with the ability to stand for long periods of time, walk over rough surfaces, bend, lift heavy items (up to and over 50 lbs.); vehicle operation in rough terrain; work around heavy equipment operations and chainsaw use. Current First Aid/CPR card. Valid/Current driver’s license with the ability to obtain a Class B CDL license. Must adhere to agency On Call policies and standards. Must travel/participate with crew on all assignments (project, fire, all hazard) unless previously discussed and approved. Must meet LPCC response time standards for mobilization.
