Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Responsible for personal solicitation and stewardship of corporate sponsorships and donations to support events, internships, and other strategic initiatives. Identifies and solicits corporate sponsorships and donations in personal solicitation meetings. Cultivates and maintain relationships with key members of the corporate community. Develops and implements specific fundraising appeals and sponsorship campaigns for events and initiatives. Campaigns should focus on increasing sponsor support. Assists in the coordination of receptions, meetings, and other social events related to building strong relationships with our corporate partners and sponsors. Ensures marketing collateral is developed and updated each year to encourage sponsorships. Serves as liaison between the finance office and corporate sponsors. Holds a moderate level of decision-making responsibility and may be required to make quick decisions under pressing deadlines. Examples include the selection of appropriate solicitation amounts for individual sponsorships, customizing sponsorship strategies for corporate partners, and identifying the most relevant resources for sponsor questions and concerns Time management and work prioritization of decisions will be essential to managing the position's sponsorship caseload, along with execution of sponsorship appeals and campaigns. Develops and maintains relationships within OVPIT, UITS and with corporate partners and sponsors around the country. A deep understanding of and appreciation for IT and Indiana University is critical to successful execution. Relationships with corporate partners are 1-to-1 and require daily decisions to ensure continuous, positive, and productive outcomes.General Responsibilities
Working in collaboration with department, school, and/or campus development officers and with consultation from Business Partnerships Consultants, develops, cultivates, and leverages corporate and foundation relationships to secure funding for operations, research, and joint initiatives. Works in coordination with Business Partnerships Consultants to set overall timelines, budget, goals, solicitation strategies, stewardship activities, and donor recognition strategies. Determines internally, in consultation with other development and fiscal staff, the funding needs of the department, school, and/or campus and sets corporate funding goals. Tracks and reports on progress toward goals. Maintains a portfolio of corporate donors from solicitation of prospective supporters, development of proposals for donor prospects, and oversight of negotiations to finalize agreements, maintaining adherence to budget and time line. Provides reports for corporate and foundation donors and provides timely, consistent follow-up with requests for information and answers to inquiries, ensuring the quality and integrity of the donor experience and advancing the reputation of Indiana University. Hosts on-site information events and travels to attend corporate events and/or meet with prospective or current corporate or foundation partners to cultivate relationships and secure funding. Researches industry trends and makes process and policy recommendations to supervisor for improved operational efficiency.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
The role requires occasional travel across the State of Indiana and US.
Work Location
This position may reside on either the Bloomington or Indianapolis campus.
