Crown Equipment Corporation is a leading innovator in world-class forklift and material handling equipment and technology. As one of the world’s largest lift truck manufacturers, we are committed to providing the customer with the safest, most efficient and ergonomic lift truck possible to lower their total cost of ownership.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect lift trucks and other types of material handling equipment to generate parts lists and work orders required to make repairs.
- Receive parts orders to put into stock or to the assigned lift truck or material handling equipment.
- Remove, repair and/or replace defective and standard components on Crown lift trucks and other types of material handling equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair lift trucks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Prep trucks and equipment for painting, which includes cleaning and repairing damage to metal surfaces, including use of body filler as needed to repair surface for new paint and use of manual and power sanding tools.
- Use aerosol paint cans to touch up paint and install decals on lift trucks and other material handling equipment.
- Inspect trucks against Crown quality standards prior to shipment to final customer.
- Process miscellaneous paperwork and maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Comply with all applicable Occupational, Environmental, Health and Safety Standards as well as Crown's safety rules and regulations for each task performed.
- Assist in Parts and Service Departments as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an Automotive/Diesel Technology, or related High School trades program.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach above shoulder level, and occasionally lift/carry up to 50lbs.
- Knowledge of basic computer functions.
- Mechanical background preferred.
- Must be able to use common hand tools
