he Quality Management and Performance Improvement Officer is responsible for management and development of Quality Service Delivery, Programmatic Performance Improvement, Resident Satisfaction and the reporting of collected data to ensure quality service goals are achieved. 

The Quality Management and Performance Improvement Officer is a certified investigator through the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) and is assigned investigations as necessary. There is the need to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to conduct investigations as they are assigned to meet ODP timelines. This position also shares a weekend on call rotation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and prior applicable experience in the Intellectual / Development Disability field preferred

•Prior experience with Office Developmental Programs (OPD) regulations preferred

•Must be a certified investigator or willing to obtain certification

•Must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Essential functions

•Develops data and creates pie charts/bar graphs for reportable incidents and medication errors to be reviewed by leadership quarterly

•Attends quarterly provider Quality Council meetings

•Develops and evaluates Quality Management Plans for agency using available resources, training, and research

•Completes quarterly reviews of the Quality Management Plan. 

•Assists with ensuring compliance for accurate and timely reporting of incidents as required

•Identifies organizational opportunities for performance improvement. Facilitates meetings to strategize, develop, and implement systems and procedures to improve programmatic operations.

•Maintains quality management documentation system by writing or rewriting quality management procedures

•Maintains quality management operations by implementing updated and/or newly developed policies, procedures, and government requirements

•Facilitates Medication Error Review meetings or other meetings as deemed appropriate

•Serves on Committees and/or Councils as assigned and presents Quality Management Plan to the members

•Assist Incident Management with on-call responsibilities

•Makes recommendations for safety and quality improvement after conducting investigations for reportable incidents

• Oversees QA&I process
