We are seeking a highly qualified Interim HR Manager to join our client's dynamic team at their manufacturing facility located in Scranton, PA. The Interim HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance and HR strategy implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, and will possess excellent interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills.

Interim HR Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews and facilitating the hiring process
  • Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions and grievances
  • Implement performance management systems to monitor employee performance and facilitate employee development
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans and other employee perks
  • Administer payroll and maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Partner with management to identify HR-related issues and develop solutions to improve employee engagement and retention
  • Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to continuously improve HR processes and procedures


Interim HR Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field. Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office applications
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus
