PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for all aspects of processing invoices and payments to vendors, including but not limited to the following: Matching invoices to receiving purchase orders and receiving documents.Prepares weekly check batches.Work with our bank to manage positive pay data, including processing stop payments.Processing and reissuing void checks.Communicating directly with vendor A/R departments.Working with applicable parties in other departments to assist workflow of AP documents. Prepares batches and reviews them for accuracy (document date, GL code, vendor ID, vendor address, and amount). Handle expense reports, check runs, ACH/Wire payments and vendor reconciliations Reconciles company credit card statements to invoices/receipts from card holders. Files or scans AP documents as required by current workflow system and departmental requirements.  Demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and tight deadlines; attention to detail and thorough self-review is a must. Assist other members of the accounting team with various tasks as necessary to assure the smooth operation of the whole department (such as filing, scanning, operating 10-key, data input, processing, etc). Performs all other work-related duties assigned by the A/P Supervisor or Accounting Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience Required: Accounts Payable experience required – minimum 3 to 5 years. Previous accounting experience a plus.

Education: High School Diploma required; Accounting, Business, or Finance degree preferred.

Other Requirements: Strong 10-key and data input skills. Comfortable working with Accounts Payable computer systems. Strong organizational skills. Strong communication skills.

SCHEDULED HOURS

Commerce Casino operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. Schedules may vary depending on business needs.
