Optum Bank is seeking a highly motivated Treasury Manager who will be responsible for leading a team responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of treasury, cash management and payment products, services, and systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute treasury solution strategies associated with deposit products, cash management services and payment services offered by the bankLead a Team of Treasury Professionals responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of banking solutions and systems to support cash collection, concentration and ACH, wire, paper check, payment card and virtual card disbursement processesEngage technology partners and external vendors to deliver comprehensive treasury system solutions that meet the needs of internal and external customersManage vendor relationships for key payment processes including the Federal Reserve, core deposit systems and payment software providersCollaborate and consult with key internal departments, affiliates, and business partners to improve, restructure and implement treasury services and systemsWork directly with business analysts, developers, and product owners to design, configure and test treasury applications to ensure functionality is delivered as expectedLead and enhance internal treasury processes to drive operational efficiency and to ensure compliance with internal policies, controls and proceduresCompetencies
Knowledge of innovative banking/treasury solutions, best practices and financial institution industry trendsProven solid project management skillsKeen acumen on risk and controls, processes and procedures, to ensure services are delivered to clients in a robust and compliant mannerExcellent communication, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skillsProven solid organizational skills - able to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectivelyAbility to navigate a dynamic, fast paced environment with changing prioritiesAdept at learning new concepts and applying principles and best practices into problem-solving and development of innovative solutionsYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree7+ years of experience working at a financial institution; or an equivalent combination of bank treasury and/or cash management experience and trainingIntermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and VisioPreferred Qualifications:
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designationAccredited ACH Professional (AAP) designationExperience working with commercial ACH and wire payment processing software and bank deposit platformsProject management experience within finance, banking, business and/or treasuryKnowledge of Nacha Operating Rules and associated Banking RegulationsFamiliarity with faster payment initiatives (Real Time Payments, FedNow, etc.Familiarity with broker deposit programsAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
