Job Summary

The Executive Director of Global Treasury, Financial Operations and Strategic Initiatives provides strategic leadership and direction to the University's treasury and financial management functions. This includes developing and implementing financial forecasting and reporting tools, managing cash forecasting models, and overseeing the University's commercial bank relationships and treasury IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Develop and implement financial forecasting and reporting tools to support the University's financial planning and decision-making processes.
  • Cash Management: Manage cash forecasting models to ensure adequate liquidity and optimize returns on cash balances.
  • Treasury Operations: Oversee the University's commercial bank relationships, treasury IT systems, and daily cash positioning to ensure efficient and secure operations.
  • Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain financial reporting packages for senior management, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on the University's liquidity and key cash management operating metrics.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Foster strategic partnerships with cash management partners across the University to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support the University's treasury and financial management needs.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures, and propose and implement updates to policies and training materials as needed to maintain best practices in the industry.
  • Business Continuity Planning: Develop and maintain a business continuity plan to ensure the University's treasury and financial management functions are resilient and able to recover from disruptions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or economics.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in higher education finance, corporate or municipal finance, treasury management, and/or accounting.
  • Certifications: CTP certification desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Fluency in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), treasury management system (e.g., Kyriba, GTreasury, FIS), and Oracle systems.
  • Preferred Competencies: Team-oriented professional with strong quantitative skills, demonstrated understanding of best practices in treasury management and operations, and proven attention to detail.
