- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
- Ensure all financial reports are accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts for assigned properties.
- Post journal entries and perform month-end and year-end closings.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for significant differences.
- Manage tenant billing, including rent, common area maintenance (CAM) charges, and other related fees.
- Reconcile tenant accounts and address discrepancies.
- Perform financial analysis and prepare reports to support management decision-making.
- Analyze property performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Work closely with property managers, leasing agents, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial management of properties.
- Utilize property management and accounting software effectively.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
