Our client is searching for a Data Architect that is strong with Databricks for a long-term remote contract.

All candidates must work directly for TEKsystems on a W2 basis or through an approved vendor.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the data architecture strategy using Databricks, with a focus on modernizing our data infrastructure and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and implementation of our data architecture using Databricks Lakehouse Platform

- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and data flows to support our modernization efforts

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business capability into technical specifications

- Implement data governance policies and ensure data quality and security

- Optimize data pipelines and improve system performance using Databricks tools

- Collaborate with team members on best practices for data architecture and Databricks technologies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

5+ years of experience as a Data Architect, with at least 2 years working with Databricks

- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts

- Expertise in SQL and experience with Python or Scala

- Proficiency in Databricks technologies, including Delta Lake, Spark SQL, and MLflow

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services

- Familiarity with data governance and compliance requirements

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
