Overview:

Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification, insures the monitoring of patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication-related problems through intervention with the physician. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, protocols, regulatory standards, in executing job responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Experience: Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a School or College of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
  • Licensure: Requires a current pharmacist license from applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
