Client Advisory Services Accounting Associate

Job Description 

Summary/objective

The primary purpose of this position is to provide financial support to our clients through bookkeeping and accounting. This position will train with and learn from our Client Advisory Services team to gain technical excellence and deliver top client service.

Essential functions

Review and verify invoices and check requests Set up invoices for payment Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records Reconcile accounts payable transactions Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues Maintain W9s Assist with month-end closing Correspond with clients and respond to inquiries

Work environment

Work to be performed at one of our office locations or remotely.

Physical demands

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

Required education and experience

General knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant accounting software Proficiency in data entry and 10-key with minimal error rate Basic Accounting Principles Ability to learn new skills and platforms as needed for new projects Aptitude for self-guided learning on new technology High School Diploma or equivalent required Ability to manage and organize work Detail oriented

Preferred education and experience

Experience with a prior public accounting internship or employment is a plus Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software is a plus.
