The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, in between the hours of 6:30AM - 7:00PM (40-hour work week). Management will determine schedule.

Location: The Everett Clinic - Hoyt Avenue, Everett, WA

Primary Responsibilities:

Managing inbound and outbound calls in a timely mannerAssist Point Teammate in submitting daily request for referrals/authorizationsSchedule, reschedule and coordinate all patient appointments and tests per office protocolsMeet or exceed the performance measures established by the Practice Management DeptUnderstand and deliver quality customer service that is consistent with Optum’s service standardsWorking with multiple service lines throughout each day assisting patients with appointments, medication refills, updating insurance etc.Work with providers and staff to ensure completeness of documentation to facilitate the referral/authorization processAssemble information concerning patient’s clinical background, insurance and referral needs, per referral guidelinesPoint of contact for patients who raise questions and concernsEnsures work is being performed according to company policies, procedures, and standardsProvides high quality care and service excellence to our patientsPerforms other administrative and clerical duties as assignedParticipates in a variety of department initiativesEnsures all OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulations are followedFollows proper reporting protocols for any compliance or incident reporting as neededMaintains strict patient and employee confidentialityOther duties and responsibilities, not specifically described, maybe defined, or assigned from time to time, consistent with knowledge, skills and abilities of the incumbent by management

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED (or higher)1+ years of customer service experience1+ years of Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of receptionist experience in a medical office1+ years of experience in a health care settingKnowledge/understanding of CPT/ICD-10 codingIndependent means of transportation during work hours for job related tasks

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
