Summary
Medical office position responsible for coordinating and managing all processes of the front office
Responsibilities
Checks in patients and collects accurate patient demographics, enters data into electronic system and verifies insurance. Coordinates the daily operations of the physician office, including the medical records process, controlling the front desk, accounts payable, office supplies. Monitors and audits cash/payment funds. Daily reconciliation of charges and payments.
Education
Required: High school diploma/GED.
Preferred: Completion medical office assistant program
Experience
Required: Must have 5 years of experience working in a medical office setting.
Certifications
Preferred: Healthcare management/administration certification

No. Description % of Time Provides excellent customer service by welcoming guests by greeting them professionally. Provides prompt and courteous assistance to each guest; internal or external. Notifies employees of guests to be escorted to the appropriate location. 25% Partners with the security guard to ensure appropriate guest access to the building by following registration and notification procedures 25% Professionally and courteously answers corporate telephone; routes/transfers incoming calls to appropriate party. 20% Monitors reception area, lobby and Client Conference Center to ensure readiness for guests ensure a safe and clean meeting space 15% Processes invoices 5% Assist HR and Travel & Expense team with projects and special requests 5% Helps with coordination and preparation of prospective client visits and tours. 5% FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (Specify Revenue/Budget/Expense): N/A SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESIf direct report positions are listed below, the following responsibilities will be performed in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
