The Team:
S&P Global Loan Settlement is an electronic trade processing platform utilized to efficiently settle syndicated loan trades. Used by lenders, agent banks, custodians, trustees, borrowers and legal professionals, Loan Settlement automates loan trade affirmation, confirmation and matching to facilitate the processing of loan trades.
One of the S&P Global Loan Settlement platforms, ClearPar, is the market leader in trade settlement. The newer S&P Global Loan Platforms site reduces settlement delays through access to real-time agent bank data from trading counterparties and integration with client systems.

Responsibilities:

The Loans Platforms Business Analyst will be responsible for working closely across product, QA, operations, engineering, commercial, sales and customers.

Elicit, understand, analyze, document and sign-off requirements

Understand business needs, conduct requirements walk-throughs sessions with business and technology, assess solutions and act as a liaison between the two functions through effective communication

Data and risk analysis

Utilize analytical tools to develop workflows, cross functional and process flow diagrams

Drive project progress, track project milestones, coordinate tasks across different functional groups and provide regular status updates to management.

User acceptance testing

Conduct post-implementation training/demos and create user guide/process manuals

What we’re looking for in an ideal candidate:

Minimum of 7-10 years relevant business analyst work experience in the financial markets preferred

Bachelor or Master’s degree in business administration, technology, or similar discipline

Strong written and verbal communications with a strong aptitude for presenting thoughts and ideas to all levels of internal and external stakeholders

Self-directed, highly motivated with the ability to work independently

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technology and product positioning to both a business and technical audience

Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail

Aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment

Ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting

Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

Comfortable presenting to and negotiating requirements and deliverables with customers

Expertise in MS Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint

Understanding of XML and relational databases/SQL a plus

Any experience in the syndicated loans space is an advantage

Ability to multitask and work under pressure
