Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The Route Planning Specialist assists in optimizing delivery routes, ensuring timely and

cost-effective transportation. Responsibilities include real-time monitoring, issue resolution support, and

collaboration with logistics teams to enhance overall route efficiency and compliance. This position

contributes to the continuous improvement of route planning processes within the organization.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Route Coordination: Assist in planning and optimizing delivery routes to meet schedules and reduce transportation costs. Real-Time Monitoring: Track assigned routes in real-time, promptly addressing deviations to ensure compliance with planned routes. Issue Resolution Support: Support the resolution of route deviations by triggering appropriate actions and escalating unresolved issues as needed or rerouting any missed services. Performance Metrics: Assist in analyzing basic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Itinerary Accuracy for each route. Root Cause Identification: Participate in identifying and analyzing root causes of route deviations, providing insights to the team for process improvement. Communication Assistance: Support communication with branches and stakeholders to convey route information, adjustments, and updates. Documentation Maintenance: Assist in maintaining route plans, adjustments, and performance records, updating databases and documentation. Collaboration: Work closely with logistics teams, drivers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination between route plans and operations. Continuous Learning: Actively learn and contribute to the improvement of route planning processes, offering suggestions for enhanced efficiency. Ad Hoc Support: Assist in other duties and projects as assigned by senior route planners or management.
