Position Responsibilities:

Analyze operations data within PDI and perform testing to develop recommendations to leverage system capabilities to achieve business objectives; Design new systems or improve functionality of existing systems to enhance business processes; Align functional system requirements with business requirements using data models, test case documents, and user testing; Prepare product specification and technical information to communicate system capabilities to a variety of users; Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems in directly to user or through 2nd or 3rd-tier help desk support; Research the effect of system changes and difficulties and develop solutions to prevent negative impacts; Develop and update process documentation to ensure validity of data throughout system modifications; Maintain relationships with vendor representatives for problem resolution, repairs, and service; and Independent travel (10%) and work after hours, weekend and holidays as needed, periodically assisting and supporting the store acquisition onboarding process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Previous experience in the retail industry with a solid understanding of retail operations. Knowing how a retail store operates, it’s customers Four to six years' experience software product management or software development in an organization responsible for technology, ERP, or retail operations.  Must have previous experience with a full ERP solution. With a qualified candidate having previous ERP experience the intent will be to train the right person on PDI/Enterprise to be in a support and/or business role and the implementation of PDI/Enterprise functionality, such as MarketLink, Workforce, Store Assistant, EDI, FocalPoint and scan-based trading; Experience integrating third party solutions with PDI/Enterprise, such as tax management services, vendor pricing interfaces with Pricebook, and others; Experience with Gilbarco Passport and VeriFone Commander point-of-sale systems is preferred. At the minimum familiarity of POS systems. Experience writing technical documents, software design documentation, and maintenance; Experience with data manipulation and visualization tools; A proven understanding of database and analysis tools such as SQL and Excel, including demonstrated analytical skills to solve business issues.
