About the Role: Were on the hunt for a dynamic Structural Engineer to join the hive on behalf of our clients. In this role, you'll take ownership of innovative design engineering and support all aspects of the construction process. If you're passionate about structural engineering and have a proven track record of success in managing heavy civil projects, we want to meet you

Your Mission:

  • Perform and/or review structural calculations, develop plans, and schedule tasks to meet client needs.
  • Design and oversee bridge erection & demolition, cofferdam design, critical crane lifts, and excavation support.
  • Conduct structural analysis to ensure stability during the temporary condition of new bridges, viaducts, buildings, tunnels, and other structures.
  • Evaluate existing structures for construction loads and/or demolition planning.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of the design deliverables.
  • Identify design risks and assist with risk mitigation planning.
  • Assist in project management, including budgets, schedules, quality control, and client communication.
  • Provide on-site design engineering support, on-site inspections, and training and mentoring E.I.T.s.

  • On-site engineering support and mentorship.

What You Bring:

  • Experience with temporary structures and/or construction engineering.
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Masters degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer licensure (PE) or eligibility within the United States.
  • Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Civil 3D, Finite Element Analysis Software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.

Certifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or eligibility

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
