YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Design roadway alignments, intersections, drainage, utilities, and transportation facilities using industry-standard software
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive transportation plans and designs
•Develop roadway geometry
•Prepare engineering calculations and technical reports
•Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
•Ensure projects adhere to quality control and safety standards
•Prepare contract task order proposals
•Conduct field visits during design and/or construction
•Participate in client and public meetings

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
•5+ years of experience designing roads, highways, and associated infrastructure, including intersections, interchanges, sidewalks, bike lanes, bridge approaches, and parking lots
•Experience working with Maryland Department of Transportation and Maryland city/county government transportation projects
•Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Bentley InRoads, Autodesk Civil 3D, and AutoTURN
•Must possess an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
•Excellent oral and written communication
•Knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, and MDOT design codes and standards
